Never underestimate the importance of picking paint colors, and the value of visualization to the process. Originally planned to be painted "sky" color it was later determined that the "sand" color was less obtrusive to the surroundings. These images were from a set of composited photos showing the planned development in the local environment. In addition one close up rendering showing all of the equipment and components of the project was also produced in both colors. The final "sand" color (pantone 467) rendering was printed 8' long and used as a backdrop for the press conference announcing the project.
